The buzz and hum of Washington, D.C. is a daily inspiration for Diana Belchase. Drawing from embassy gossip, insider contacts, and good old fashioned research, her thrillers are based on kernels of truths that evolve into fast-paced, heart-pounding, global adventures. A Golden Heart and Silver Quill winner, she’s also currently a triple finalist for the prestigious and internationally renowned Daphne Du Maurier award.
Diana is a member of Kiss of Death, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, RWA, SCBWI, and the Author’s Guild. She blogs with the eight other fantastic writers who comprise Kiss and Thrill, and the 18 wonderful writers at Sisters of Suspense. Her own website, Top Secret Washington, follows Diana as she visits the rarely seen insider’s world of D.C. and it’s environs. Her new TV show, BookSmart began airing last spring.
Diana also writes and edits scientific nonfiction and has taken courses in forensic odontology and crime scene procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Odontology and an affiliate of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. In the course of writing these books, she’s interviewed people at the European Space Agency, the FBI crime lab, the Naval Institute of Pathology, and the NSA.
